On top of being top of the line in terms of quality, Japanese fishing lures are great for the actual art of catching fish. These lures are not meant to only catch the fisherman, but more importantly the fish lurking under the water's surface. While Shimano is widely held as the top of the line spinning reel manufacturer, ask any fisherman who has used Gamakatsu hooks and you will quickly learn that their reputation proceeds them. The hardest to find of all the tackle are the Japanese fishing crankbaits, with great brands like MegaBass, Deps, Lucky Craft, Yo-Zuri, Jackall Bros and many others. While the price can be a bit to take at first blush, the fact is that these lures flat out catch fish. For instance, the MegaBass crankbaits are very popular on the pro fishing tours.
